Is it harmful to store gasoline in crude oil tanks (floating roof tanks)?
It shouldn’t be in the same tank group as the crude oil tanks. Additionally, since the crude oil tanks have external floating roofs, a grid roof needs to be installed if they are to be converted into tanks for refined oil. Also, the cleaning of crude oil tanks needs to meet the requirements for storing refined oil, and the costs involved are quite high
We store our asphalt gasoline in a 30,000-cubic-meter external floating-roof crude oil tank; at the maximum allowable tank level, it has been filled for over a month without any issues being detected.
It’s not allowed. The structural designs of crude oil tanks and gasoline tanks, as well as the requirements for anti-corrosion treatment of their inner walls, are different; long-term storage can lead to serious consequences, so be extremely careful!
It can be installed. However, the coating on the inner wall of gasoline tanks is required to be conductive; it is unclear for crude oil tanks.
