There are now many additives that facilitate the cracking of slurry and reduce its leakage. Has anyone used them? Those who have, please share some of their experience. Thank you! !
Why crack the oil slurry? What products can be obtained from its cracking? (It increases the amount of coke produced, yields more dry gas, and only slightly increases oil production, etc.) Additionally, additives have to be used, and from a cost perspective this isn’t very economical. If it’s not intended for sale, it would be more reasonable to incorporate the oil slurry into the coking feedstock for reprocessing.
Since the composition of oil slurry is mainly polyring aromatic compounds, which are relatively heavy, the severity of cracking required for the oil slurry increases. Reprocessing the oil slurry reduces the overall conversion rate, increases the amount of dry gas and coke produced, and also causes greater damage to the catalyst. When there is sufficient heat in both reactors, reprocessing is not recommended. Our plant’s oil slurry is discharged as a product and serves as an excellent raw material for producing needle coke
