Under normal conditions, there are no special requirements regarding the packing of the catalyst in a reforming reactor; normal fluidized packing is sufficient. There is no need for a specific degree of compaction – it is sufficient to ensure that the bed layer is uniform and has good fluidity. Generally, catalyst manufacturers will provide technical guidance.
