Catalytic start-up, fractionator top recycle – is external circulation in the middle column necessary? Thank you!
How is external circulation achieved here? Isn’t it normal to let it stand and undergo dehydration after oil collection? Pumps should be started in a timely manner to initiate circulation based on the operation status, in order to control the temperature inside the tower.
There is a cross-line, so circulation can be carried out without entering the tower.
For top circulation, I don’t think external circulation around the middle tower is necessary; static dehydration is sufficient. Unlike heavy oil, this oil is denser and requires heating to remove water gradually ； But if there is time and financial means, it’s not impossible to do so; this way, the dehydration can be more thorough.
Some devices for top circulation have circulation lines; I believe that a cycle–rest mode yields the best dehydration results
