No, clearance adjustment involves regulating the clearance chamber; the size of this chamber is controlled through hydraulic cylinders. Stepless adjustment, on the other hand, is a system for stepless control of air volume – it uses hydraulic actuators to control the closing time of the air valves in order to regulate the amount of air intake.
