Locating leak points in heat exchangers

This post was last edited by Menghuan100 on 2017-1-9 at 09:03. If one of the pipes in a heat exchanger leaks, is it possible to locate the leak without opening the equipment, and if so, what equipment can be used for this purpose?
I’ve never heard of it; how can one check for leaks when all the pipes in the honey and mom area aren’t opened?

There won’t be such devices; and if they did exist, they would likely be too expensive for companies to afford.
I think the cover must be opened; perhaps there is a better way, awaiting guidance from experts
This seems not to work; to determine which pipe is leaking individually, it’s necessary to open the end caps, pressurize the pipe (or shell) system, and then test each pipe separately. But maybe the experts have some better methods – who knows?
