What is the process when everyone draws equipment diagrams?

I usually draw at a 1:1 scale and then resize the frame to fit the size of the image. But after doing that, I don’t know what the ratio is anymore! I wonder how everyone does it; are there any good methods?

First determine the proportions, then draw the diagram. For larger drawings, create a framework first and establish the proportional dimensions to fit the design

Adjust the scale in CAD? How do you determine the ratio? Can you give an example?

Knowing the scale at which the drawing frame is reduced allows for the conversion to the drawing scale

I’m a bit confused about this. Could you give an example?

This post was last edited by SDHZZXM on 2017-2-28 at 12:42. The so-called scale refers to the ratio of the dimensions on a drawing to the actual dimensions... You can print out the drawn diagram and measure it to find out what the scale is.

Sure: drawing 1:1, no problem

First, draw at 1:1 scale, then resize the image frame

First, draw the diagram at a 1:1 scale, then adjust the size of the drawing frame; if the frame is enlarged by N times, the scale becomes 1:N. Each design organization has its own standard rules regarding scales, so not all drawing frames are suitable for your diagram. Choose drawing frames of sizes A1/A2/A3 that are appropriate for your needs
