Can a chain furnace be converted to use natural gas? Are there any renovation options?
I’m also waiting for users with experience in renovation to share their thoughts.
The furnace design of chain grate boilers is different from that of gas boilers, so I think it would be very difficult to carry out modifications. Gas boilers are already compact in structure and inexpensive; I believe it’s better to simply remove the existing boiler and replace it with a gas boiler, which will save money and space
How old are you, Lian Tiao Lu? Any strand furnace with a capacity of 20 tons per hour or more can be upgraded by using carbon molecular gasification combustion technology.
For 70MW, how to make the changes? Is there a plan?
Yes. Add another set of carbon-molecule vaporization chambers; simply lay refractory bricks on the grate. This type of technical modification does not affect the pressure-bearing components of the boiler itself, and the space required for the gas chamber is 60 square meters. Benefits of technical upgrades: The combustion system reduces power consumption by over 30%, and the flue gas emissions meet regulatory standards (environmental control costs are reduced by over 70% compared to continuous furnace systems). Environmental protection and energy-saving indicators are related to coal quality.
What is Gas Castle? How come I’ve never heard of it? It’s outdated! How about switching to natural gas?
It is not about converting natural gas; rather, it is a coal gasification method designed at the molecular level. Its advantages include a simple process, the ability to prevent pollution at its source, reduced element usage, environmental friendliness (compliance with emission standards), energy savings (the combustion system can save 30% more electricity compared to chain boilers while still meeting environmental requirements), and efficient utilization of carbon resources. It is cheaper than current coal-to-natural gas methods, causes less pollution, and requires less investment.
