The national standards include checks on the strength of hydraulic tests; in which chapter are the checks on the strength of pipe ends specified? Also, what are the verification criteria in the American standards, and in which chapter are they? We have a device with a design pressure of 20 Mpa, and a hydrostatic test pressure of 1.5 times that value. How should we calculate the strength verification, specifically for the pipe connections (according to American standards)? The manufacturer says that the strength is twice the yield strength – is that possible? Furthermore, will an extended hydrotesting time cause damage to the equipment?

Is this a high-pressure pipeline? For containers, a value of 1.25 is generally used taking temperature corrections into account… I haven’t seen any specifications regarding the verification of pipe ends, but generally, for flanges, the value should not exceed 1.5 times the maximum allowable pressure at the operating temperature; it’s also necessary to take into account the conditions of the fasteners as well
