Design of heat exchanger expansion joints

The topic of my graduation project this year is the design of expansion joints for heat exchangers. Could anyone tell me whether this topic is difficult, or provide some information on the history and development of expansion joints?
1. Expansion joints on heat exchangers are still quite rare; I haven’t seen any heat exchanger equipped with such joints yet. I hope you can share the information you’ve gathered with us
I’ve never encountered that either; if anyone has relevant information to share, heat exchangers inherently experience thermal expansion and contraction, especially those of the floating-head type where the temperature difference is significant
It’s relatively obscure, so it can only be described in more theoretical terms. You may refer to books on annotation. Search on the forum.
