Questions regarding the standards used when selecting flanges

I would like to ask everyone: which standard is being used for flanges these days? Is it the GB or HG standard? Are there any requirements for this? Or can I have both?
Use the standards from the Ministry of Chemical Industry: HG/T20615 for the American system and HG/20592 for the European system. There are also those that meet national standards, but we don’t use them very often

Thank you! What you’ve written are industry standards; then in what situations is the GB standard for flanges used? Also, later on, the NB Department of Energy’s flange standards were issued – aren’t those not commonly used?

I haven’t carefully examined the national standards for flanges; they seem to be similar to those set by the Ministry of Chemical Industry. There are simply too many standards in China – for flanges alone, there are standards such as Hg, Sh, Gb, Jb, Nb, and so on. Most of these standards are redundant. I think it’s sufficient to use whatever standard works; there’s no need to switch from one to another
In practice, various domestic pipe flange standards are ultimately used for connecting to valves; the valve connection holes and bolts can be paired with different types of flanges. Therefore, it is up to the designer to decide whether to use national standard flanges in applications that follow industry standards. The NB/T 47020–47027 standards issued by the Ministry of Energy are specific to container bodies and not intended for use in conjunction with valves.

Those who are well-off and famous in the field of standard development are willing to engage in such work; many of them simply copy foreign standards or industry standards, without taking into account the actual needs of users
There are too many flange standards; they should be combined into one standard to facilitate selection.
