The main forms of damage to it are severe wear, fracture, and separation. The causes of this damage are as follows: ① The chain plate conveyor is subjected to pulsating loads over a long period, leading to fatigue failure; ② The connecting pins or bolts of the chain plate conveyor become loose or fall off, and if not detected and replaced in time, it results in uneven stress on the chain links or their separation; ③ On the vertical links of the chain plate conveyor, wear occurs more severely on one side; if these links are not replaced promptly, fracture is likely to occur; ④ When the chain plate conveyor gets stuck, it generates large dynamic and impact loads, causing sudden fluctuations in the speed of the conveyor chain, which in turn leads to unstable operation of the chain and accelerates the wear or fracture of the chain links; ⑤ Poor manufacturing quality of the chain plate conveyor results in low wear resistance, poor toughness, low hardness, or stress concentration that leads to fatigue cracks, thereby reducing its strength.
