In expansion compressors, natural gas coming from the top of the oil tank enters the compression stage, where it carries away a small amount of lubricating oil. Over time, lubricating oil can be found in the pipelines at the outlet of the compression stage. From the perspective of how such devices work, this is a normal phenomenon. We plan to install an oil removal filter on the pipeline between the top of the oil tank and the inlet to the compression stage, in order to reduce the amount of lubricating oil lost.
