Why is there acid foam in the glass level gauge of the acid settler in the tetraalkyl sulfate reaction? How to solve it? Moreover, the sulfur content in isooctane is as high as 10. I would like to ask the experts for their advice; thank you in advance
1. The alkane-to-oil ratio is too high. 2. The stirring speed is too high, resulting in poor separation of acid and hydrocarbon components
Acid foam: 1. Low acid level in the acid settler; 2. Low pressure setting of the pressure control valve in the reactor; 3. Poor separation efficiency. Sulfur content: 1. Issues with the raw materials; 2. Low amount of acid circulating in the reactor; 3. The acid washing process isn’t active. I’m also just starting to work with alkylation – feel free to share any feedback on how to resolve these issues
