Since TPM is a management system that involves all employees, its organizational structure for implementation is consistent with the company’s existing structure; it represents an expansion of the functions of that existing structure. Starting with the company’s top leader, the chairman, TPM promotion committees are established layer by layer. It is worth noting that establishing a TPM executive committee, a TPM leadership office, or a TPM affairs bureau directly under the top management of the company is crucial for the smooth advancement of TPM. Practice has shown that in companies with dedicated implementation agencies, the promotion of TPM is effective. Conversely, in any enterprise lacking a strong implementation mechanism, the advancement of TPM will be significantly hindered, making it difficult to achieve results. Whether such an organization can be established is also a test of the extent to which a company’s top leadership is committed to promoting TPM.
In private enterprises, implementing TPM is too idealistic
Regarding systems, most of them include one element: leadership. Especially in the domestic corporate environment: It’s almost impossible to get anything done if management does not pay attention to it; only when there is a proper structure in place and management gives it high priority can TPM be implemented successfully!
Is TPM still being used in China nowadays? This thing is a bit flashy but lacks substance; it wastes manpower and resources, with income not matching expenses
With a leader’s word, no matter how well something is done, it’s of no use; one still has to follow the leader’s instructions.
Having the chairman take charge is nothing but a sham – it’s like putting on a mask while doing nothing at all; it’s a way of occupying a position without actually doing anything
The key to the successful adoption of all advanced management techniques is, first, to take the enterprise’s own conditions as a foundation, and second, to use plain language. Taking the enterprise’s existing basic management systems and requirements as a basis means that these should be supplemented and improved in light of the concepts and requirements of advanced management techniques; In other words, don’t be fooled by the fancy professional jargon used by experts in promoting advanced technologies; it’s necessary to completely and unconditionally abandon that style of expression that experts rely on so often when promoting such technologies. We should return to plain language so that all participants can understand the requirements related to management and work
