Regarding the question of whether pipe threads and regular threads can be connected. There is a threaded hole on the mechanical seal cover, which is connected to the sealing oil chamber inside the mechanical seal; during normal operation, this hole is connected to a G1/4 oil pipe. When the mechanical seal was newly purchased, it had not been assembled yet; this hole was plugged with a plug and it was not connected to the oil pipe. So, may I ask, is the thread in that hole a pipe thread G or a regular thread M?
G1/4 pipe – it should be a G thread, right? The tube can be processed with G or M threads; it is recommended to measure the thread type on site, otherwise only two or three turns can be made before the thread cannot go any further.
Remove the plug, measure its outer diameter and pitch, compare them with the standards, or use a pitch gauge to measure the pitch
Generally, 1/4 inch threads are mostly pipe threads; metric threads are rare
