There are several options for the split installation of valve positioners; what components need to be purchased? When the environment in which the valve is installed is harsh, such as high temperatures, significant vibration, or difficult operating conditions, a split installation approach can be considered. In this case, the position detector is installed on the actuator, while the positioner is placed in an environment with better conditions. Three types of position detection methods can be used: · NCS contactless position detector · External position detector (a 10KQ potentiometer is included in the standard positioner housing), part number C73451-A430-D7 · 10KQ potentiometer that can detect position changes (provided by a third party or designed by the user itself). An EMC filtering module must be added to the valve positioner in order to receive signals from the NCS or external position detector; the part number for this EMC filtering module is C73451-A430-D23. Note that flameproof valve positioners cannot be installed in a split configuration. What types of actuators can the NCS contactless position detector be installed on, and how is the selection made? The NCS can be installed on actuators with angular or linear motion; in the case of linear motion, there are two categories: those with a stroke length of less than 14 mm, and those with a stroke length greater than 14 mm but less than 130 mm. Select different order numbers based on the 3 different on-site conditions. The default cable length for NCS is 6 meters; it is not recommended to extend it on one’s own, as this will cause delays in response and affect the control performance.
