Corrosion resistance of 2Cr13

One of the pump units in our factory has a corroded pump shaft; the material of the shaft is 2Cr13. The medium inside the pump contains a high level of nitric acid, with a pH value between 1 and 2, as well as some organic acids and chromic acid. I would appreciate it if experts could help analyze the reasons for this shaft corrosion.
The \"Corrosion Data and Material Selection Manual\" states that when the nitric acid concentration is less than 20%, the operating temperature should be below 100 degrees； When the concentration is between 20% and 80%, the applicable temperature is below 100 degrees ； At a concentration of 80–90%, the applicable temperature should be below 50 degrees.
