Can the primer used for painting equipment be the same as the topcoat, just in a different color? Is that okay?
It’s possible, but it depends on the properties of the paint. Many paints can be used as both primers and topcoats. Such as phenolic epoxy paint, but some types of paint are not suitable, such as zinc-rich paint.
