As the title suggests, there are frequent issues with failures in linings (PTFE and rubber) or FRP pipes and equipment. Increasing routine inspections would require inspections inside the tanks, which entails tasks such as shutting down the system, draining the contents, and thoroughly cleaning the inner walls – all of which is time-consuming and poses safety risks. Which company has advanced technologies that can monitor or measure whether the lining has failed – techniques such as detection of delamination or leakage points?
I haven’t heard of this yet; can any sea friends share it?
