They are suitable for use in operating platforms, stairways, cover plates, and building decorations, and they offer unparalleled performance in environments prone to humidity, rust, acid and alkali corrosion, as well as in high-altitude areas with exposure to moisture. There are three common resin types for fiberglass gas collection hoods: ortho-phenylenic, meta-phenylenic, and vinyl-type. Its price is proportional to its corrosion resistance; therefore, it is necessary to consult the performance specifications and corrosion resistance tables based on the corrosive agents present in the environment of use, in order to select the most cost-effective type of resin. a. Phenoxy type: It has moderate corrosion resistance, capable of withstanding atmospheric aging and seawater corrosion, with a suitable operating temperature range of -50~60°C over the long term. b. M-phenylene type (for municipal use): It possesses excellent corrosion resistance and can withstand environments with moderate concentrations of inorganic acids, bases, and various salts; the allowable operating temperature over the long term is -50~90°C. c. Vinyl type (for chemical industry): It possesses excellent corrosion resistance, capable of withstanding harsh corrosive environments such as acids, bases, salts, solvents, or alternating acid and base conditions; it can be used over long periods at temperatures ranging from -50 to 110°C.
