Why does such corrosion occur? At the edges of the male and female rotors, coarse acetylene is generally transported, with NMP as the cooling solvent
It has been sent back to the factory for processing; the cause is still unknown, but it’s most likely corrosion
No signs of cavitation; could it be that the material is impure and a reaction has taken place as a result?
It seems to be gas corrosion; this can be repaired and treated with anti-corrosion measures, giving a service life that is at least twice that of a new item.
