The PTFE-lined magnetic flap level gauges that were used in the past all had PTFE-lined cylinders, and bulging occasionally occurred. Later, some manufacturers recommended products with PTFE sprayed on them, but I always felt that those weren’t very reliable. I would like to ask the experts on this forum: has anyone used this spray-type PTFE level gauge? How’s it working? Those who have used it, please share your insights!
Spray coating provides a stronger bond between the lining material and the tube wall compared to PTFE tubes; however, the strength of the lining is relatively lower than that of the tube itself. Therefore, the lining is usually made thicker to increase its pressure-bearing capacity. It’s best to determine what causes the bulging.
