Are there any specifications and standards for surface anti-corrosion of buried storage tanks? Only the pipes were found.
It seems that few people use specifications and standards these days, right? With so many materials and manufacturing processes available, it’s sufficient to choose the ones that suit the needs.
Actually, the principle is the same in all cases; it comes down to selecting the protection area and the protection current density, as well as choosing between sacrificial anode or impressed current cathodic protection methods. Proper insulation should also be ensured where necessary. For small tanks, it’s sufficient to bury a few magnesium anodes; for large tanks, shallow-buried anodes or deep-well anodes can be considered.
