How is control represented in a P&ID? Is there a PLC in the PID diagram?

Another newcomer – they majored in mechanical engineering, but for their graduation project they had to create PID diagrams, not necessarily those that follow strict standards. The devices shown in the diagram already have legends assigned to them, but no various instruments are drawn, nor are there diagrams showing how the devices are controlled through those instruments. For example, if I want to use a temperature sensor to receive signals and transmit them to a PLC, which then controls the on/off state of valves, how should such control be represented in a diagram? Please, experts, help me!
