In the attachment, why isn’t the value of bn taken as the actual width of the gasket, but rather as specified in Table 6-5? In reality, the width of gaskets, such as wound gaskets, is much greater than the values given in the table.
I’ve only paid attention to the width of the gaskets; I haven’t seen any that are much larger in many years – those I’ve seen were around 1.5 cm wide, or even narrower.
The width of gasket wraps specified in GB/T29463.2 is always greater than bn values listed in Table GB151.
Also, why does standard GB/T29463.2 cover only floating gaskets for sizes up to DN900? How should ones be selected for sizes larger than DN900?
It seems the experts are all busy sleeping!
