Question: What is the maximum processing capacity of a single reactor for intermittent distillation? At what processing volume should continuous distillation be considered?
It has to do with your manufacturing process; it mainly depends on the feeding speed in that stage of production. As long as the feeding is stable, there should be no major issues with continuous operation. .

Is there a minimum requirement for continuous distillation? For example, if the feed rate is 150 KG per hour or less, can batch distillation be used on a large scale? For instance, can the amount of material fed into the bottom of the tower in a single batch be as much as 4 tons?
Distillation has no limit on the processing volume; the main focus is on ensuring proper connection between the upstream and downstream processes, so as to maintain a continuous feed to the distillation tower and guarantee its stable operation. Frequent start-ups and shut-downs not only affect product quality but also result in higher energy consumption.
