Is it not possible in the plant area to have no raw material tank area and instead go straight to an intermediate tank area?
There is no raw material storage area; the formaldehyde and acetylene required by the BDO plant can be supplied by other plants. The presence of a raw material storage area depends on the production process and operational considerations.
Generally, a raw material storage area is required, with considerations given to the source of the raw materials, the amount used, and the number of days it takes for them to be rotated. For safety reasons, a daily-use storage area is usually not provided in the plant area, or only one with a capacity covering at most one day’s supply is installed. The intermediate tank is primarily designed to accommodate situations where the upstream and downstream units operate at different speeds for short periods of time; its storage capacity must be determined based on the specific characteristics of the project.
Depending on production requirements, raw material tank areas are generally present, while intermediate tank areas are not necessarily required
The raw material tank area, intermediate tank area, and finished product tank area are arranged according to the production process; none of them are necessary.
