As the title says. Is there a **uniform standard** for chemical process PID design diagrams? What is the standard number? Why do different design institutes use different ones?/
Each unit has its own design conventions, and the legend symbols in the standards are not complete either; therefore, each follows its own approach. Refineries follow SH/T 3101-2000 \"Legend for Refinery Process Diagrams\", while the chemical industry uses HG 20559-1993 \"Specifications for the Design of Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams\", HG 20559.3-1993 \"Graphic Symbols for Pipes and Fittings in Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams\", and HG 20559.4-1993 \"Pipe Numbers and Labeling in Piping and Instrumentation Diagrams\"
Different units have different design legends, and there are also those based on the supplier of the purchased process package
