The vapor pressure of methylamine at 50°C is 0.76 MPa. In accordance with GB50160 5.5.6, for pipelines carrying liquefied hydrocarbons, Class A B liquids, and Class A liquids for which external factors may cause an increase in pressure, pressure relief safety measures must be implemented when the valves at both ends are closed. Does a methamine pipeline need a safety valve?
If the maximum ambient temperature is below 50 degrees and the design pressure of the pipeline is above 0.76 MPa, why install a safety valve?
