I am working on a modification project, and I have a complete set of process data available (some flow rate values may have been omitted for confidentiality, but all the important ones are present). Before making any modifications, I need to reconstruct the entire process flow. However, there’s a problem: the calculation results differ from the data in the process package, and in some cases the differences are quite significant There must be a problem with the parameters! So my question is: is it possible to regress the binary interaction parameters of the pure components in the process package based on the existing data?
On the testing setup, it might be possible to figure things out through \"intercept\" methods; however, it’s likely difficult to reverse-engineer the process package solely through simulation calculations, as there are too many variables involved.
**It’s possible, but there are difficulties
Damn, the transformation has to start with a process plan – it’s quite a big task. By the way, ASPEN regression should be possible, but it requires a set of data with at least three or four points; do you have that much data available?
Stop thinking about it – how is it possible to work out that backwards? How long has it taken to conduct simulations for low-temperature methanol washing and air separation?
Instead of spending that time, it’s better to look up some literature and determine the regression parameters yourself; that’s a more reliable approach than using default parameters
