It is inevitable that the hydrogen production capacity changes, along with the amount of PSA off-gas. After each increase in the amount of material processed by this device, there are significant fluctuations in the PSA exhaust gas (large variations between the peak and valley values of the curve). To address this issue, it is necessary to adjust the manual valve for the desorbing gas on the furnace as well as the pressure control valve of the desorbing gas buffer tank. Are there any other methods for making adjustments? Is PID tuning needed?
With PID control, the operator also needs to reset the set values, and this is done after the operating conditions have stabilized. After all, the operating conditions are changing during the process of increasing production volume, and the main parameters keep changing; as a result, PID is constantly making adjustments, which leads to instability in the system. The changes in PID parameters may also be slow, and it takes time to reach a stable state. The adjustment results will not be ideal. It is recommended to manually stabilize the conditions first before using PID control.
