The manager asked me to conduct a material balance for the workshop, working backwards from the given production volume! For the reaction conversion rate, should I use the theoretical conversion rate/selectivity, or what? What kind of data is still needed? Please give me some advice

What’s the use of theory? Of course, it’s the practical application that matters
Material balance is divided into design values and actual values. The design value is a material balance calculated based on design parameters, while the actual value is the material balance that exists once production begins. The person asking the question should calculate the material balance using the actual values; otherwise, it has no practical meaning
The purpose is to compare the actual situation with theory, but after searching for a long time no theoretical values were found, and many of the actual data are inaccurate
