When testing pipeline sections individually, do the valves, whether open or closed, also undergo testing along with that particular section of pipeline? Is the valve already pressure-tested upon leaving the factory?
The pressure testing of valves before they leave the factory is different from pipeline testing. When testing valves within a system, the goal is to assess the safety of that system. For example, if a valve is very heavy and not tested, it can have a significant impact on the pipeline system
