Let me ask you a question. I want to insert a tube from the top of the jar to draw out the liquid. Can the liquid be drawn out? Because there is a section of air inside? How to choose the type of pump?
What is the composition of the liquid and how high is the tank? There are too many pumps to use.
It can be pumped out, just like drinking a drink. Choose a volumetric pump.
What is the medium, what is the temperature, how high is the top of the pipe to the liquid level, and how high is the liquid level to the inlet of the pump. Just calculate the cavitation margin of the installation. If there is no problem with the cavitation margin of the device, just make sure that the inlet pipeline is full of liquid before starting the centrifugal pump.
I think the poster's concern may be that if a centrifugal pump is used, the pump may not be primed.
There can be many ways. 1. Add a self-priming tank 2 between the tank and the pump, or directly choose a pump with self-priming function
Why can't you fill the pump? If the tank is vacuum, you may want to consider filling the pump. This kind of open container can be filled directly with the pump.
What I consider is that there is air in the pipe from the pump inlet to the liquid level.
