Does anyone know why a steam generator is not connected in series to the exhaust furnace of the low-temperature sulfur Claus process?
If the evaporation rate is high, one can be connected in series.
Flue gas flow rate: 18,800 cubic meters per hour; temperature: over 300°C
After heat exchange, as the temperature drops, sulfur changes from a gaseous state to a solid state, thereby blocking the pipes.
In exhaust gas, there is no liquid sulfur; it’s not present in the process gas
