The main role of carbon wires in steelmaking or casting is to replace carbonizers in order to add carbon to the metal. Carbonizers are used in the form of cored wires, which facilitate the addition of metallurgical materials into the molten steel during the steelmaking process. The method of use involves inserting these cored wires vertically into the molten iron or steel using a feed mechanism in the factory; at the appropriate depth, the metallurgical materials contained within the cored wires melt fully and undergo chemical reactions. This approach effectively prevents the elements from reacting with air or slag, thereby increasing the efficiency with which the factory can incorporate these metallurgical materials. Cored wires also serve to refine and cast steel, thereby reducing impurities, enabling alloying, and purifying the molten steel; they play a significant role in helping manufacturers improve the quality of cast iron and cast steel, reduce the costs associated with casting and steelmaking, and enhance the economic efficiency of producing cast iron and cast steel.
