Can the pumps and compressors for liquefied hydrocarbons be placed in one room? If it cannot be placed in one room, what should the distance be? That specification?
I have never seen a compressor in the same room as a pump
GB50160-2018 5.3 Pumps and compressors 5.3.1 The layout of combustible gas compressors and the design of their buildings shall comply with the following provisions: 1. Combustible gas compressors should preferably be installed in an open or semi-open area; 2. Gas compressor plants of Class A with a single-unit drive power of 150 kW or more should not share the same building with other rooms of Classes A, B, and C ; 3. Process equipment of Classes A, B, and C shall not be installed above the compressor, except for self-used high-position lubricating oil tanks, which are exempt from this restriction ; 4. Ventilation measures should be implemented at the roof of semi-open or enclosed buildings for combustible gases that are lighter than air ; 5. Except in the maintenance load-bearing areas, the floor slabs of the combustible gas compressor plant should preferably be made of perforated steel grating ; The area of such open steel grating shall not be included in the floor area of the fire compartment it is located in ; 6. Pits or ditches should not be provided on the floor of compressor buildings for flammable gases that are heavier than air ; The factory building should have measures to prevent the accumulation of flammable gases. 5.3.2 Liquefied hydrocarbon pumps and flammable liquid pumps should be installed in an open or semi-open area. Above the pumps for liquefied hydrocarbons and flammable liquids whose operating temperature is equal to or higher than their auto-ignition point, process equipment of categories A, B, and C should not be installed ; If Class A, B, or C process equipment is installed above it, it should be protected by enclosed floor slabs made of non-combustible materials. When equipment for flammable liquids of categories A, B, and C, with an operating temperature below their autoignition point, is installed above a pump for flammable liquids whose operating temperature is equal to or higher than its autoignition point, the enclosed floor shall be a leak-proof floor made of non-combustible materials. Pumps for liquefied hydrocarbons and flammable liquids with an operating temperature equal to or above their autoignition point should not be installed beneath pipe racks. 5.3.3 When liquefied hydrocarbon pumps and pumps for flammable liquids are installed in a pump room, their design shall comply with the following provisions: 1. Liquefied hydrocarbon pumps, pumps for flammable liquids whose operating temperature is equal to or higher than their auto-ignition point, and pumps for flammable liquids whose operating temperature is lower than their auto-ignition point shall be installed in separate rooms; the partition walls between these rooms shall be fire-resistant walls ; 2. The distance between the doors and windows of pump rooms for flammable liquids whose operating temperature is equal to or higher than their auto-ignition point, and those of pump rooms for Class A B and Class B A liquids whose operating temperature is lower than their auto-ignition point, or those of pump rooms for liquefied hydrocarbons, should not be less than 4.5 m ; 3. Pits or ditches should not be provided on the floor of pump rooms for Class A liquids in categories A and B; the pump rooms must have measures to prevent the accumulation of flammable gases ; 4. Class A, B, and C process equipment should not be installed above pump rooms for liquefied hydrocarbons or flammable liquids whose operating temperature is equal to or higher than their auto-ignition point ; 5. When there are no more than two liquefied hydrocarbon pumps, they can be installed in the same room as pumps for flammable liquids whose operating temperature is below their auto-ignition point.
