What is the best method for filtering or removing oil from wastewater containing oily tar? Have you encountered it?
Free settling doesn’t work; the emulsified substance inside doesn’t settle
Air flotation – I’m not sure if it’s applicable in this situation

What type of demulsifier is it?
You can try using the demulsifiers provided by chemical manufacturers. We used those from Guangdong Yueshou in the past; find an independent sedimentation tank, pump the oily water into it, add the demulsifier at the pump inlet, and after letting the oily water sit in the sedimentation tank for a while, it will separate into layers. The COD level of the water in the lower layer is not high, so there are no major issues with treating it through industrial wastewater treatment processes; the oil in the upper layer can be collected and loaded onto vehicles for use as fuel in boilers
