In the current design, it is a DN700 air duct made of 304 material, with a wall thickness of 7.92 mm. The design temperature is 60°C and the design pressure is 0.18 MPa; DN300 compressed air pipeline, material 304, wall thickness 9.53mm, design temperature 130°C, design pressure 1MPa. The manufacturer reported that the pipe diameter is too large and the wall thickness is too thin, making it difficult to produce seamless steel pipes. I would like to ask the experts here: can seamless steel pipes be replaced with welded steel pipes?
This pressure! Stainless steel should work!
Boss, your pipes are made of stainless steel. Is there a strict requirement for the purity of the air when using them to transport air? Stainless steel pipes of this specification are all seamless; it’s likely that pipes with seams of this type aren’t required. Everything should be carried out in accordance with the design requirements; where requirements exist, coordination and confirmation with the design agency are necessary. The design plan cannot be altered without permission. For reference.

The DN300 pipes are fine too; they’re not very large, so there’s no problem in using them as seamless pipes. Moreover, it must be done according to the design; no changes are allowed without permission. Has the design institute given approval?
After coordination, the DN700 pipeline was changed to a welded type, while the DN300 remains seamless
The hot-dip galvanized pipes commonly used for instrument air lines in installations are seamless pipes
