The total investment in this project is 250 million yuan, with construction carried out in two phases. In the first phase, production facilities for phase change materials will be built, while in the second phase, facilities for producing phase change gels and phase change microcapsules will be constructed. Once completed and put into operation, these facilities will be able to produce 30,000 tons of organic phase change energy storage materials per year. This is currently the largest production project of organic phase change energy storage materials in China. It is a key project in Shanxi Province as well as a key project within Taiyuan’s key industrial chains. Phase-change energy storage materials are known as the \"temperature magicians\" because they can store excess heat at high temperatures and release it at low temperatures. This property enables phase-change energy storage materials to play an important role in building energy conservation and temperature regulation. They are widely used in industries such as construction, textiles, transportation, electronics, and healthcare, offering broad development prospects. They are significant for reducing the consumption of fossil fuels and achieving energy conservation and emission reduction. It is reported that the Qingxu Phase-Change Energy Storage Materials Production Base project is a new innovation platform established through cooperation between China Chemical Siding Engineering Co., Ltd. and the Shanxi Coal Chemistry Research Institute of the Chinese Academy of Sciences. Its aim is to promote the industrial application of organic phase-change energy storage materials; to date, more than a dozen products have been developed, including those for cold-chain transportation, electronic cooling applications, phase-change cooling cups/bowls, and phase-change cooling garments, some of which are already available on the market. Next, Saiding Company will further optimize its systems of new materials and new manufacturing technologies, strive to develop more high-purity products, expand its sales channels continuously, and intensify its market development efforts, thereby injecting new momentum into the high-quality development of China’s new materials industry.
