The tank is 3.4x7.5m in size. Can the pH meter be inserted from the top to a depth of over 6 meters? Is that possible? Can it still be installed on the side of the tank? Does your factory have large tanks equipped with pH meters? How is it installed in all cases? Consider those that are easy to service and maintain
The tank is 7.5 meters tall; it is feasible to insert the pH meter to a depth of over 6 meters from the top, but it is necessary to ensure the safety of the equipment as well as the accuracy of the measurements. Additionally, it is also possible to consider installing a pH meter on the side of the tank, which makes inspection and maintenance easier. When installing such equipment, ordinary factories take into account ease of operation and safety to choose the most suitable installation method. Specific installation suggestions should be determined based on the actual site conditions and equipment specifications. .
It must be installed on the side – it’s that long, the price is high, and I remember that it’s not possible to make something that long; the strength of the protective sleeve is a problem. I once made one 2m long on top of a reactor, and I had to discuss this matter many times with the manufacturer
If it’s installed on the side, how is that done? How will maintenance be carried out later?
Install it in the middle and lower part of the tank, inserting it at a 15° angle into the tank; a ball valve should be installed at the pipe connection, and the pH meter can be designed to be removable online
Another approach is to equip the tank with an external circulation pipeline; a discharge pump can be used as the external circulation pump, and a pH meter is installed on this external circulation pipeline to enable automatic external circulation at regular intervals in order to determine the pH of the liquid inside the tank. This method is suitable for situations where the pH of the liquid in the tank does not change much. Additionally, it is best to install the pH meter on the pump inlet pipeline.
This is a cost-effective and excellent practice
Design a sampling pipe that can be circulated, which serves as a means for sampling; the pH can be monitored, and then the pipe can be returned to the tank. With such a long insertion depth, this approach isn’t feasible – a crane is required on-site to insert it. Or it can be on the outlet pipe, but the data may be delayed or uneven, or it may represent only data related to a portion of the liquid; the pH of the entire tank can only be determined after a part of the liquid has been discharged.
There is stirring; installing it from the top is not suitable; installing it on the side is better
Similar to this, it is installed above the liquid level (overflow tube), with no valve connected in front; Installed below the liquid level, with a valve connected to it at the front. pH meters need to be calibrated regularly; if the calibration interval is set too long, the instrument technicians will get angry.
How is the lower installation done? Won’t it touch the mixer when it doesn’t extend into the tank?
