In fact, for the Rosemount 248, 644, 3144 temperature transmitters, both their measurement range and scale factors can be changed at any time using the Rosemount 475 handheld communicator. So how exactly is this done? First, supply 24VDC power to the transmitter and turn on the power of the 475 handheld device. Connect the signal cable of the 475 handheld device to the transmitter, making sure not to connect them in the wrong direction. Next, you can follow these steps: 1. Double-click on the menu HARTAPPLICATION on the handheld controller using the stylus; several options labeled YES will appear, click on YES ; 2. Similarly, use the stylus to double-tap on the menu DEVICESETUP on the handheld to proceed to the next step ; 3. Double-click CONFIGURATION --> double-click SENSORCONFIG --> double-click SENSOR1 --> double-click CONNECTIONS ; 4. Select the desired division code, such as PT100-385, E, B, S, K, etc ; 5. Next, select 2WIRE, 3WIRE, or 4WIRE for the sensor by clicking on it. 6. At this point, the 475 manual controller screen will display “OK” twice; by clicking on it, the indexing number is successfully changed ; 7. Finally, return to the initial menu of the 475 controller, turn off the power, and remove the signal cables of the 475 controller.
Hahaha, I’m glad you’re happy. To be honest, although it’s full of mistakes, it’s still useful for beginners.
First, you mentioned the power supply and Hart, but your connection is likely to require a resistor; otherwise, communication will not be possible. Second, Hart permits signs to be ignored. Third, your menu structure is roughly the same as one from six or seven years ago; the newer ones are no longer in use.
