For flame detection in our (liquefied) natural gas, should we use infrared or ultraviolet? Is it composite still? It says online that there are more bands available. How many bands are generally chosen? 2 bands? 3 bands? Which manufacturers are doing well both domestically and internationally?
I’ve also been researching something related to LNG lately; I’m just passing by, so I’m leaving a comment to help – the more I learn, the better:D
The flame detectors produced by Tianjin Xielie are of good quality; they’re domestic products
It is divided into indoor and outdoor types: we use dual infrared for indoor use, and a composite type for outdoor use; using the wrong type can lead to false alarms that may even be fatal.
What Dichuang Agency told me is exactly the opposite of what you said; he said that three-frequency infrared should be used for outdoor applications, while composite types are suitable for indoor use. Could you please confirm the type of your flame detectors? I’m afraid of making a mistake.
The triple-frequency CH works well; there’s no LNG indoors
In the end, we chose Meisian’s four-frequency infrared system; I’m not sure how it will perform!
