Many attempts were made, but none succeeded (OPC required purchase, so it wasn’t used). Eventually, an expert was hired who wrote a small software program that can be installed on any workstation to retrieve the data, without requiring any special hardware! ! I’m not sure about the principle behind it. The software was uploaded on 2017-2-4; please download the attachment by yourself. If it won’t run, install the VB6.0 runtime library to make it work! ! Please turn off the firewall or allow access through it! ! Additional note: 1. There is a limit on the number of data points that can be transmitted; one master card can transmit up to 200 analog data points and 3,200 digital data points. Beyond this limit, transmission is not possible. 2. I checked and saw that the software is command-line based; it has no interface – just something similar to the CMD window in Windows, with data being displayed line by line. 3. Reports: Since the reports generated by the central control system are produced on a scheduled basis, this solution allows for real-time, continuous report generation; for example, the data for 8:00 can be viewed as early as 8:10.
