How can one determine that a surge protector might be short-circuited? Personally, I think there’s a higher possibility of a fault in the temperature-sensitive display part.
After a surge short circuit, the current usually only flows through the surge before returning, which causes the transmitter/valve actuator to stop working.

I haven’t conducted specific research on this; under normal conditions it exhibits high impedance. When connected in parallel in the circuit, the instruments function properly, which means there is no current shunting; When struck by a direct lightning strike, the large current generated under high voltage is rapidly discharged to the ground through surges, thereby protecting the equipment on site. Typically, surge guards are also installed indoors to protect the card slots.
