The liquid level in the tank is measured using a pressure transducer. The tank is 10 meters high, the medium is water with a density of 1, and the gauge is installed 1 meter above the bottom of the tank. What should be the range of the gauge? Do I need to migrate? How much to migrate?

Is the tank height of 10 meters accurate? Not very reliable. Assuming it is reliable, 90% of the range from 0.1 meters to 10 meters is 9 meters, so the measurement range is 8 meters. So what is the amount of migration involved? There are two scenarios: in the case of the upper and lower measurement points, migration is required, and the amount of migration is the product of -8 meters and the density of water. In the case of a single pressure measurement point at the bottom of the tank, there should be no issue with migration; by placing the gauge head at the same elevation as the measurement point, the measured pressure can be converted into a liquid level height.
Is your pressure measurement point at the very bottom of the tank? The gauge is located 1 meter below the bottom of the tank. If it’s a level gauge with only one pressure measurement point, then it needs to be adjusted – specifically, the setting needs to be changed to a positive value. The lower limit of the measurement range is 10 KPA. If the tank is not at atmospheric pressure, then an upper pressure measurement point must also be installed. If the liquid level might rise above this upper pressure measurement point, then a buffer tank is necessary; in that case, the adjustment would be negative.
