Based on aliphatic superplasticizers, new types of high-efficiency water-coal slurry additives have been developed through grafting and polymerization. These additives feature low slurry viscosity, low usage amounts, as well as good flowability and stability. Depending on the type of coal, the dosage is 50–70% of that of naphthalene-based additives; at the same viscosity level, they enable an increase in the slurry concentration. The advantage is even more pronounced in difficult-to-pulping coals such as Shenfu coal. The ordinary sodium lignosulfonate additive exhibits superior performance compared to similar products on the market when used with lignite and other coal types that are difficult to pulped. Coal like Shenmu coal can be used to produce water-coal slurry with a concentration of 59%, whereas alkali-lignin-based materials cannot be converted into slurry; samples are welcome to be sent
