Dear colleagues, the Jinhua furnace has been in operation at Shanxi Fengxi for over a year. No black water pipeline is installed in the quenching chamber of this furnace; during operation, the quenching water in the chamber mixes with syngas and enters the scrubber through the syngas pipeline. This design simplifies the process flow and operations, but it results in an increased solid content in the black water flowing into the scrubber, which in turn raises the solid content in the quenching water as well. Please discuss whether the advantages of this design outweigh its disadvantages. Those who have experience with the Jinhua furnace are especially invited to share their insights. Thank you.

I spoke with them recently; in their quench chamber, just like in the combustion chamber, there are rows of heat exchange tubes. The bottom of these tubes is submerged in water, and the syngas flows out between these heat exchange tubes
