The concentration measurement of water-coal slurry is an important quality indicator in its production. In China, the level of automation in the water-coal slurry manufacturing process is generally low; operations mainly rely on offline analysis, manual adjustments, and empirical control methods. This results in low production efficiency, high resource consumption, and unstable product quality, thereby hindering the development of the water-coal slurry industry. Online monitoring technology enables the concentration of water-coal slurry to be displayed in real time on the DCS, just like temperature and pressure. According to the laws of fluid mechanics, when a fluid flows through a vertical pipe, the pressure difference between any two measurement points consists of two components: the static pressure difference and the frictional resistance. The static pressure difference, with the positions of the two measurement points remaining constant, depends on the concentration (density) of the fluid. To accurately obtain the concentration information of the medium from the differential pressure output signal, it is necessary to remove the frictional resistance signal from the measured differential pressure signal. In addition, errors caused by changes in the dielectric temperature and ambient temperature will also be compensated for. By detecting the differential pressure and temperature signals, the coal water slurry concentration is calculated using a model. Once this system is in operation, on-site staff can read the water-coal slurry concentration values in real time online, and make adjustments accordingly based on the process requirements.
Is it already in large-scale operation on the device! Are there any requirements regarding materials and environment?
